Personal Narrative: Andrew Moran - My dog

I have butterflies in my stomach. I am thinking about what the gift could be. I opened a pink and blue box with polka dots with a bow on top, and saw a very skinny dog toy Santa that sounded like broken glass when you squeezed it or jumped on it. At first I thought we were going to meet Santa. I shouted “Oh my goodness” to the top of my lungs. In the box there was a bag of what I thought was trail mix, I picked it up and it said “dog training treats”. I heard my brother shout,”we are gonna get a dog”! with excitement. For a moment I thought about my other dog. I had tears coming out of my eyes, my hands were on my head, my lips were stretched from ear to ear, because a couple years before that day we had a black and brown dog. It was so nice, cute, smart, and one day it got so sick. A couple of days later we went to bed around 7:30 p.m I woke up at around 7:30 a.m my dad and mom told us that it had  passed away. Ever since we have been wanting a dog but my mom kept on saying no. On December third  2021 we got a dog. That night our friends came over, saw the dog, we put her in her kennel and went to bed because we all were so tired. The next day we found the right food she had to eat. Her name was Apple Pie. We didn’t really like that name so we changed it to Zoey. She likes to jump on counters when there is food on it so we started to spray her with water. We have taught her to sit, lay down, and come. She knows how to do each one of these tricks. Come is kinda like a trick. I'm not that good at knowing dog tricks. All I know is that they are very cute.
